 Electronic Cigarettes 97% Less Harmful

In recent years, the use of electronic cigarettes has become widespread in our country, there are curious details about. A survey conducted in the UK revealed important data on electronic cigarettes. So is the electronic cigarette harmful?

The question marks as to whether electronic cigarettes, which are becoming more popular day by day, have a negative impact on health. There are many discussions about the long-term health effects of electronic cigarettes both in the world and in our country. The BBC published scientific research on electronic cigarettes in Turkish.

According to the study, those who switched from real cigarettes to electronic cigarettes were found to have less cancer-causing substances after six months in their bodies compared to those who continued with normal cigarettes. Experts aim to clarify the confusion experienced by those who consider switching from normal cigarettes to electronic cigarettes, and that some previous research has concluded that electronic cigarettes are as harmful as normal cigarettes.

However, according to the study, to be safer, smokers should switch to fully electronic cigarette or nicotine substitution treatments. Lion Shahab of University College London, head of the team conducting the study, said that  "We have shown that toxic chemicals entering the body through electronic cigarettes are considerably less than those reported in previous studies using representative experiments. This suggests that doubts about the safety of electronic cigarettes are false."

In the study, which was covered by the British Cancer Research Foundation, 181 people, including regular smokers and nicotine substitute products, such as electronic cigarettes or nicotine patches and sprays, have been examined for the past six months.

A third group continued to smoke both normal cigarettes and electronic cigarettes and nicotine substitutes. Only in electronic cigarettes, 97 percent less toxic than NNAL, which is associated with lung cancer, was seen in those who resumed normal smoking. However, the difference between both smokers and electronic smokers was minimal.
